About me

I design beautifully unique dresses that let the wearer be the star. I love helping people to feel good about themselves and if a few jaws drop along the way, then all the better.

I was 17 when I first had a hand in creating a wedding dress for a friend, and as the groom saw her coming down the stairs to meet him he said something that made me realise how much impact a bride in her perfect wedding dress had (I also realised that sometimes it is ok to drop the f-bomb in polite company)

I love-love-love to draw and do my best to make my drawings look believable, I always try to sketch real human proportions,  because it really helps my clients to picture themselves in my designs. I always carry a sketchbook to draw in and I continually strive to improve my technique by drawing from life (as well as from my imagination).

I am often to be found in museums and galleries or wandering round historic buildings and gardens. I am curious about the world and love to discover new things and I love good design from all periods, because style, as they say, never goes out of fashion. I know that beauty comes in many forms and that inspiration can come from surprising places.

I studied costume design at Wimbledon school of art and have spent more time than I care to mention backstage in various theatres making sure performers step out looking ‘just so’. Gradually over time the bridal and evening wear has moved to the forefront but I make little distinction between theatre & special occasions, it is all about enabling people to be the person they want to be in any given situation.

Now that’s enough about me, what about you? I’d love to hear how I can help you so do get in touch
