  I have been thinking about all the amazing women athletes who have been competing in the Olympic and Paralympic games in London this summer. How can I not be? For the first time ever there were women representing every competing country in the Olympics, Lizzie Armistead was the first Briton to win a medal for Team GB and more British Olympic gold medals have been won by women than ever before. Striving for perfection

I’m trying to hard to write beautiful words that people will want to read and because I spend so long striving for perfection I am frustrated when I don’t achieve it. I’m working away and yet not sharing the results because the perfect turn of phrase eludes me or my grammar is less than I would like; the shadows in the photograph aren’t as aesthetically pleasing as I’d hoped or the illustration has a smudge. Something old, something new…

While thinking of how I could begin my new blog, I was struggling with ideas that seemed either too big,  too inconsequential, too tricky or just downright boring.  I have a whole collection of blog posts of wedding tips, links to other interesting sites as well as half written pages of thoughts and stories but nothing felt quite right for my new beginning.
