No rest for the wicked

The past few months have felt like one thing after another, with an opportunity to stop, catch my breath, and enjoy the achievements always just out of reach. The moment keeps getting pushed slightly forward to tomorrow, next week, just as soon as this thing comes through and so on, and so forth ad infinitum.  So here I am creating a moment, as otherwise it may never come, and realising that so much good stuff has happened I don’t know where to begin. That’s not such a bad place to be, right? So instead of trying to find the beginning of the thread, I shall pluck something lovely from the middle of it all…

In late September I got together with a collection of creative wedding suppliers to take part in a styled wedding-inspiration photo shoot at the lovely Oxen Hoath in Kent. Due to the charm and negotiating skills of our organising force florist/model Gwenda of The Vintage Floral Design company, we had free reign to roam around the place to create some beautiful and spooky pictures which can be seen on Want That Wedding (along with the websites of all the talented people involved). Two of my dresses were featured including a brand new wedding dress sample which I created specially for the shoot.  It was a long day with surprising amounts of activity exerted to create a collection of perfect moments such as this one:

silk chiffon and satin dress with jewel motif and small train

I would heartily recommend Oxen Hoath as the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the venue struck me as the right balance of grand spaces and comfortable atmosphere, with the feeling of being a beautiful (very large) family home. The views across the Kent countryside were out of this world and I could envisage the best ever weekend house party going on in those walls.

  1. A lovely post Faith. It was great to see you at the Zoe Lem fair and to see your dresses on WantThatWedding too! Can’t wait to see what you’re up to next! x
